How to make a thread as a Homepage

hi,
i want to make a movie site, so i need a homepage with hyperlinks that link to a thread. it is possible on ipb but don't know whether it is possible in xenforo. i have attached two other site's homepage but both uses ipb. They uses a thread as a homepage which can be edited easily to update the contents. it will a big help for me if you can give a solution guys.

i have already instlled widgetframework 2.6.3 beta12 and xenporta 2 pro 1.2.0

I have done it my self, admin or mod please remove this thread.
